Platform and Region Coverage
Use this platform-by-platform checklist to guide your checks; it is not a list of verified services. Current service information lists regions including Hong Kong, Singapore, the US, Japan and the Netherlands, but provides no test results by platform and region. Coverage alone does not confirm support. “Unverified” means you should check the relevant dashboard label and test playback with your own account.
The region column sets out what to check. A platform's regional licensing requirements do not mean YuyuVPN offers a route tailored to that region, nor does the service include any streaming subscription. For routes with similar names, check the region and usage details rather than guessing which library they access.
| Platform | Region to check | Support status | Suggested route and what to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Netflix | Hong Kong, Singapore, the US, Japan, the Netherlands; specific libraries need checking | Unverified; no region-by-region guarantee | Look for routes with relevant streaming notes in the dashboard; check both the library and full-title playback |
| Disney+ | First check whether the platform currently offers the title in your target region | Unverified | Check the target region label, account region and content access eligibility |
| HBO Max | Check the platform's current operating region and service name | Unverified | Filter dashboard routes by target region, then confirm your account benefits cover the service |
| Hulu | Distinguish the US and Japan services; they use different account systems | Unverified | US or Japan routes are starting points for checking the region, not proof that playback will work |
| YouTube Premium | Check content availability, membership region and account eligibility separately | Unverified | Check regular video playback first, then membership features; routes do not include membership benefits |
| Prime Video | The account's home site, travel status and licensing region all matter | Unverified | Check account access and the target region; the website's display language alone is not enough |
| BBC iPlayer | The platform serves the UK; confirm UK routes and compatibility separately | Available information is insufficient to confirm | Check whether the dashboard lists the relevant region and usage details; do not assume a route in another region is a substitute |

What does “access” mean here?
For streaming, “access” usually means the platform identifies your connection as coming from a particular region and allows you to browse or play content licensed there. It does not change film rights or replace a platform subscription. Even if your exit region meets the requirement, your account region, membership tier, payment details or household rules may still affect playback.
Check connectivity, library and playback separately
Connectivity means the website or app can communicate with the platform. Library recognition means search results start showing content from a particular region. Playback of the full title confirms that your account, route and device passed this playback check. These steps can succeed or fail independently. “The site opens, but I can't find a show” and “no websites open” call for different troubleshooting approaches.
When checking a library, search for a specific title and make sure it has not been removed or restricted to certain regions. Interface language, subtitle language and promotional banners do not independently confirm your exit region. A region warning during playback does not necessarily mean the route is disconnected; the platform may have received the request but denied content access.
Route changes and platform policy changes
Platforms update how they identify locations and assess risk. A route that worked before may not keep working. After switching routes, an app may temporarily retain the previous result in an existing session. Keep to the same target region, fully quit the app and check again; this makes the cause easier to isolate than repeatedly switching regions.
The Difference Between Native and Residential IPs
“Native IP” has no single, universally accepted industry definition. It is often used for an address whose registered location, geolocation database results and actual exit region align. “Residential IP” usually refers to an address associated with a residential broadband network. The first describes regional identification; the second describes the type of network. They are not interchangeable categories.
An address can be identified as being in the target region and still belong to a data center network. A residential IP may also fail to play content because it is shared, databases are out of date or platform policies have changed. Differences between geolocation tools are common, and streaming platforms may use criteria that differ from public lookup tools.
YuyuVPN's current service information does not identify native IPs, residential IPs, dedicated addresses or specific route types individually. This page therefore does not present these as included benefits or guarantee playback based on them. Check the current dashboard labels and test the results. If a specific IP attribute is essential, confirm it with support rather than inferring it from a region name.
How a shared exit is used can also affect platform detection. If you see a proxy warning, try another route in the same target region and test again, but an IP label alone cannot guarantee a fix. Keeping a record of routes that work and routes that fail can help with troubleshooting.
4K and Dolby Vision Playback Requirements
4K describes a resolution level; Dolby Vision is an HDR display technology. They are separate features. 4K playback does not mean your device supports Dolby Vision, and a compatible display does not guarantee that your browser, app version and connected display chain meet the requirements.
Look at sustained bandwidth, not just peak speed
Video encoding, scene complexity, audio tracks and a platform's adaptive streaming all affect bandwidth needs. A platform's recommended speed is only a starting point; your connection also needs headroom for other devices and background tasks. This page does not set a universal bandwidth threshold or treat a single speed test as a video quality guarantee. Check the platform's current guidance and actual playback.
If playback starts sharp but repeatedly drops in quality, pause cloud backups, system updates and other high-bandwidth tasks, then compare how different routes perform over time. A fast speed test with slow video playback may mean the test server and video delivery use different paths; a speed test alone cannot rule out route or delivery network issues.
Check your membership, content and device setup
Check whether your account tier includes the target quality, whether the title is available in that format, and whether the player is set to Auto or High quality. Desktop browsers may have content protection limitations; external displays, adapters and cables can also limit playback specs. For Dolby Vision, check compatibility details for your display, operating system and player.
A route service provides a network connection; it cannot add a streaming membership to your account or make an incompatible display support a feature. Streaming uses your plan's data allowance, and higher quality usually uses more, but actual usage varies by content and encoding. Avoid estimating usage from a fixed viewing duration.
Check Playback Results Step by Step
- Choose a target. Note the platform, title and region you want to access. First confirm the content is available there and check your account benefits so you don't mistake licensing changes for a network issue.
- Refresh your subscription and check route labels. Sign in to the dashboard to get your subscription, then refresh the route list in your client. Use only regions currently listed in the dashboard; don't rely on old screenshots or route names shared by others.
- Check that the app uses the route. Access in a browser does not mean a standalone app uses the same connection. Check your client's routing settings and connection logs to confirm requests to the platform use the intended route.
- Start a fresh playback session. After switching routes, fully quit and reopen the app. In a browser, use a new private window for comparison. Before clearing site data, make sure you can sign in again to avoid losing local state.
- Test full-title playback. Open the title and start playback, then check that subtitles, audio and picture quality meet your expectations. A trailer alone does not confirm access to the full title.
- Record comparison results. Keep the device and account the same and test another route in the same region. Then, using the same route, try another supported device to help distinguish a route issue from a client issue.
Don't change the route region, client mode, DNS and app settings all at once. If playback resumes after changing several things, it is hard to tell what fixed it. Record the original settings first and keep the smallest change that reliably reproduces the result.
YuyuVPN supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux, with no limit on simultaneous devices. Get the client and subscription through the dashboard download page. Sign in to access the subscription; iOS download eligibility is subject to the dashboard notice.
Common Errors and Troubleshooting
An error code is a clue, not a diagnosis. Messages vary by platform, device and app version. Save the full text and note where it appeared, then check the platform's current help guidance. Don't rely on a cropped fragment of the message.
Netflix shows M7111-5059 or says it detected a proxy. What should I do?
These messages are usually related to proxy or network path detection, not an expired membership. First check that requests are using the intended route, then try another route in the same region and start a fresh playback session. If the issue occurs on only one route, send support its name and the full message; switching routes is not guaranteed to fix it.
Netflix shows NW-2-5. Does that mean the region isn't supported?
This error usually points to a network connection issue between your device and Netflix; it does not by itself prove the library is restricted. Check the device's internet connection, client connection and app traffic routing, then compare browser and app results. For a TV or other device that hasn't been configured separately, confirm which network exit it actually uses.
Seeing DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN? What should I check first?
This message means the domain lookup did not return the expected result. Check the URL first, then verify that the client's DNS settings are active and not conflicting with other network tools on your system. Restore the configuration recommended by the client and test again; don't stack multiple DNS settings.
Seeing ERR_CONNECTION_RESET or playback stopping midway? What should I do?
A connection reset can occur on your local network, route or the platform's service. Check whether other sites load, whether another route can play the video, and whether the same device has the issue on a different network. If it happens only when a mobile device goes into the background, check battery-saving settings and background network restrictions.
The platform says the region is unavailable, asks for household verification or reports insufficient membership access. Should I always switch routes?
First identify the type of message. For region availability, check the exit region and content availability. Household verification and membership access are account rules to manage through the platform's account page. A route cannot replace required account verification or change membership benefits.
Black screen, audio only or no Dolby Vision badge? How do I narrow it down?
First test the same title in an app supported by the platform, then check content protection compatibility across your browser, display and connected devices. If standard quality works but a specific quality does not, check device and membership requirements before assuming region detection failed.
When contacting support, include details that help reproduce the issue
Use a dashboard ticket to provide the platform, target region, title, route name, time of issue, device operating system, client version, full error message and comparison tests you've tried. If you include an account page, hide personal and payment details in the screenshot.
Never send your password, full subscription URL or subscription token. Client logs may contain sensitive information; review and redact them before submitting. For connection troubleshooting, see Troubleshooting; for account and billing questions, visit the Help Center.
Routes and Plans
First verify playback with your target device and account, then choose a plan based on actual data usage. Monthly plans suit regular use and reset monthly on the activation date; mid-cycle upgrades are prorated for the remaining days. Data add-ons never expire and are used until depleted, making them a good fit for less predictable usage.
Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data add-ons: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. Streaming and other apps share the plan's data allowance; no plan tier corresponds to a fixed number of viewing hours.
This service uses bank-grade encryption, supports unlimited simultaneous devices, accepts Alipay / WeChat / USDT, and offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. No email address is needed to create an account; just use a username and password. These terms apply to the network service and do not include streaming platform memberships.
For more about regions, see Global Locations and Routes. For allowances, billing and refund terms, see Plans and Pricing. Recheck access whenever platform policies or content licensing change; don't assume past playback results still apply.
